Stickwick Manor – a real family farm business – has provided guests with happy family holidays for over 45-years. Set in over 50 acres of beautiful Devon countryside, the three charming self-catering homes near Bovey Tracey on the edge of the delightful Dartmoor village of Hennock are steeped in Devon history and date back to the 1780s when life took a somewhat slower pace.

Our historic homes ooze character, original features and contemporary style, in a relaxed environment where children and pets are welcome. Whether you book one home for your family holiday, or all three homes for a special celebration weekend or group venue, you will find spacious accommodation and spectacular scenery.

The Manor

The Manor is south facing, with grand, characterful reception rooms, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms over three floors. The large dining room has an inglenook fireplace and antique mahogany table.

The Farmhouse

3 BEDROOMS, SLEEPS 7/8

The Farmhouse is an 18th century farmhouse (originally servants quarters to the Manor) with exposed oak beams, stone features, country style kitchen with modern appliances making this a unique home.

The Cottage

2 BEDROOMS, SLEEPS 5

The Cottage is a converted 18th century stable, with traditional features, exposed beams, a country style kitchen with modern appliances, delightful living room and fine views over the lovely Devon countryside.

Great location in the south-east corner of Dartmoor – lots of activities at the farm and loads of places to visit.

FARM EXPERIENCE & SHOP

A wealth of experiences, all within a thriving, fully operational farm.

We have extensive activities for all the family – get hands on with feeding the goats and donkeys, pick up the chicken and duck eggs, take the goats for a walk and give the bunnies a cuddle. Delight in seeing the cows and sheep in the fields beyond. Enjoy the Games Barn, Play Areas and the woods, gardens, walks and wildlife, then settle down for a BBQ or pizza at the Toasting Shack.

National Park & trusts, pristine beaches, gorgeous towns & villages.

On the doorstep is Dartmoor, with all the walking, stone relics, valleys, wildlife, waterfalls and flora you could wish for. Close by is Burgh Island, Bantham, Blackpool Sands beaches; Torquay, Plymouth, Exeter, Salcombe and Dartmouth. Go Ape, cycling, hiking, fishing, boat rides, loads of pubs and restaurants are also within a short drive.

We love Stickwick! And have stayed many times. The houses are spotlessly clean and warm. The views are stunning and we liked seeing the animals. The variety of room layouts means it’s perfect for families or friends. And all excellent value for money. Bovey Tracey is a great little town and gives you easy access to Dartmoor.”

“A wonderful, relaxing stay in the Manor House.

We had a wonderful time staying in the Manor House for a week with our multigenerational family (9 of us in total). The youngsters (aged 6,5 and 2) enjoyed the sense of freedom in the wonderful grounds, feeding the animals on the mornings being a highlight especially collecting the eggs.”

“A home from home in the country.

We went as a large family group (25) with children and a dog. The accommodation suited us very well, rooms were tastefully decorated and the beds very comfortable. The house is well equipped and the attached larder was a great option for last minute food items. The location is lovely, the local village of Bovey Tracy has some lovely shops. The only downside was having to leave!”
